Kinja'd!!!

I am doing some "research" on my next !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! and I think I am in love. I love it even though it looks like something your grandma would have bought as dining room seat upholstery and promptly covered in shiny clear plastic.

Scandalous - everyone knows all luxury car interiors should be grey or black and nothing else. Maybe you can have a choice of two shades of grey, if you absolutely insist on having "variety" for some reason.

Either that or some terrible loud red. I really wish more automakers would try and add variety to interiors with new patterns, two–tones and really nice cloth options instead of just offering some outlandishly dyed leather and calling it a day.

Maserati did that once, not anymore, now Maserati is boring.

my Biturbos had some seriously weird interiors, no doubt

Contrasting inserts would be nice, but I'd even settle for just having the option of color matching the interior with the exterior.

Though, with most cars being either black or silver anyway, I guess they are still color keyed.

The nice thing about some of the old American vinyl is that it's guaranteed to last:

Not my pic, but taken about a mile from my house.

Think so, an 8-seater Catalina wagon IIRC.

Ah, the days when car companies weren't afraid of being a little "out there" with their interiors. Exteriors too, for that matter. When my wife was getting a new car she was shocked that various shades of silver and gray were all that some models came in but at least she got the light colored interior that she wanted instead of black or dark gray.

An example of one of the many failings of modern cars.
